Swiss private bank Julius Baer has appointed Regis Burger as Chief Executive Officer of Julius Baer (Middle East) Ltd, in addition to his current role as Head of Middle East and Africa, the company said on Tuesday. The appointment is subject to regulatory approval by the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA), the bank said in a statement. Fal.ai, a startup that hosts image, video, and audio AI models for developers, has closed a new round valuing the company at over $4 billion, four people familiar with the deal said.
