According to the SEC, XRPR will track the performance of XRP “before fees and expenses,” with the option to use futures or swaps but primarily holding spot XRP.
Industry voices aren’t sold. Nate Geraci of Novadius Wealth Management called it “a clever regulatory end-around.” At the same time, Bloomberg analyst James Seyffart said the structure isn’t “pure spot” but rather a hybrid, combining direct XRP with exposure through foreign ETFs.
