Global technology leaders are set to converge in Dubai next week for GITEX GLOBAL 2025, the world’s largest technology and artificial intelligence event, taking place from October 13-17 at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC).

Now in its 45th edition, the show will bring together 6,800 tech enterprises and 2,000 startups from 180 countries, showcasing advances in biotech, physical AI, quantum computing, semiconductors, and data centres. The event comes amid a global race to harness AI’s potential, with the industry projected by UNCTAD to reach $4.8 trillion by 2033.

Among the global firms headlining the exhibition are Alibaba Cloud, AMD, AWS, Dell, e&, G42, Google, HPE, Huawei, IBM, Microsoft, Oracle, Salesforce, Siemens, and Snowflake, joined by new participants including Cerebras, Datadog, Mitsubishi, Qualcomm, Rittal, ServiceNow, Tata Electronics, Telecom Italia, and Tenstorrent.

“Future-critical sectors including data centres, biotech, quantum, and robotics are where AI ingenuity is converging with humanity’s most pressing challenges,” said Trixie LohMirmand, Executive Vice President of DWTC.

“GITEX GLOBAL 2025 gives new impetus to these transformative technologies while continuing to be the harbinger of innovation-led progress across industries and economies.”

Record participation from emerging tech economies

This year will mark a record level of international participation, with Brazil joining as Country Partner and leading its largest-ever tech delegation. The Serbian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Tech Destination Pakistan are also key partners, alongside new national pavilions from Canada, Chile, Ecuador, Spain, and Türkiye.

Tatiana Riera, COO of ApexBrasil, said the country is showcasing “over 50 startups and innovation hubs” as part of its delegation, while Marko Čadež, President of Serbia’s Chamber of Commerce, said Serbian startups will demonstrate “practical AI applications across energy, healthcare, and social media diagnostics.”

Expanding frontiers in data, health, and robotics

As global investment in data centres is forecast to exceed $500 billion this year (BofA Research), GITEX will spotlight the infrastructure behind the AI revolution. O’Leary Ventures will present plans for the world’s largest AI data centre industrial park in Canada, while regional player Khazna, a G42 company, will lead discussions on scaling MENA’s data infrastructure to meet AI-driven demand.

In the health-tech space, GITEX Digi Health & Biotech will explore how AI is reshaping medicine, with Trevor Martin, CEO of Mammoth Biosciences, sharing how CRISPR-based gene editing could one day cure genetic diseases. Matt Angle, CEO of Paradromics, will discuss neurotechnology breakthroughs, and South Korea’s HurayPositive will unveil an AI-powered platform for precision medicine.

Meanwhile, the rise of Physical AI will be illustrated through innovations like Tensor’s personal robocar and K2’s industrial humanoids, amid forecasts that the robotics AI market will quadruple to $94 billion by 2031.

Quantum computing and semiconductor innovation

The GITEX Quantum Expo (GQX) will feature IBM’s Quantum System Two, alongside presentations from PsiQuantum co-founder Prof. Mark Thompson and IONQ, the first pure-play quantum computing company listed on the NYSE.

In semiconductors, AMD will showcase its Instinct™ GPUs and EPYC™ CPUs, while Tenstorrent CEO Jim Keller will discuss the geopolitical and industrial implications of sovereign AI chipmaking.

Expand North Star celebrates 10th edition

Running alongside GITEX from October 12-15 at Dubai Harbour, Expand North Star – hosted by the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy – will bring together 2,000 startups and 1,200 investors managing $1.1 trillion in assets, including more than 40 unicorns.

Startups such as Cerebras, Fluidstack, and Xpanceo will showcase innovations spanning AI supercomputing, decarbonised cloud infrastructure, and AI-powered smart lenses.

GITEX GLOBAL 2025 takes place from October 13-17 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Expand North Star runs from October 12-15 at Dubai Harbour. For more information, visit www.gitex.com.
