flydubai, the Dubai-based carrier, inaugurated its twice-weekly service to Chișinău yesterday, becoming the only UAE carrier to offer direct flights to Moldova. With the start of flights to Chișinău, this reflects the carrier’s commitment to opening up underserved markets as it continues to expand its network in Europe.
Touching down at International Airport “Eugen Doga” Chișinău (RMO), the inaugural flight was met with a water cannon salute and a warm welcome by local airport officials, including Sergiu Spoială, General Director of International Airport “Eugen Doga” Chișinău.

The start of operations to Chișinău reflects flydubai’s growing presence in Europe, with the carrier set to touch down in Iași, its second destination in Romania, on 19 September. In December, Vilnius in Lithuania and Riga in Latvia will join flydubai’s network.

Flights to International Airport “Eugen Doga” Chișinău (RMO) will operate twice a week on Wednesdays and Sundays from Terminal 2, Dubai International (DXB). Emirates will codeshare on this route, providing passengers with more options for connections through Dubai’s international aviation hub.
Return Business Class fares from DXB to RMO start from AED 8,000 and Economy Class Lite fares start from AED 1,600.
