Dubai will see a fleet of delivery robots take to the streets to deliver everyday essentials direct to customers’ doors.

Dubai is taking the significant step toward next-generation urban logistics with the launch of large-scale autonomous robot deliveries through a new partnership between Yango Group and noon.

The move transforms autonomous delivery from pilot concept to live operational service, beginning with noon Minutes customers.

Delivery robots in Dubai

The collaboration marks an important milestone in Dubai’s shift toward smart mobility and AI-enabled services, supporting the emirate’s long-term goals to reduce emissions, ease congestion and enhance last-mile efficiency.

As the first commercial rollout under the partnership, Yango Autonomy’s fully electric robots have started fulfilling quick-commerce orders in the Sobha Hartland community.

Customers can now select the robot option at checkout in the noon app, track the robot’s route in real time and unlock its secure compartment on arrival using their smartphone.

The new system offers a contactless delivery method alongside noon Minutes’s existing services.

The partnership will initially deploy the service to residential communities across Dubai, before expanding across the UAE and wider GCC based on operational data and customer insights gathered during the first phase.

Ali Kafil-Hussain, Chief Business Officer at noon, said: “Partnering with Yango Group lets us bring a future-ready delivery option straight to our customers. Autonomous robots add a smart, sustainable layer to our last-mile network.

“They give us extra delivery capacity during peak times, help keep service levels consistent, reduce emissions and congestion, and create an experience that feels natural for customers who already live their lives through digital solutions.”

Yango and noon partnership

Islam Abdul Karim, Regional Head, Yango Group Middle East, said: “Together with noon, we see this partnership as a stepping stone towards making autonomous delivery an everyday, reliable service for communities across the UAE.

“By combining Yango Group’s expertise in AI-powered delivery with noon’s strong presence in e-commerce, we can support cities, businesses, and regulators on their journey to smarter mobility and more sustainable digital cities.”

Nikita Gavrilov, Regional Head, Yango Tech Autonomy, said: “Our robots have already demonstrated reliable performance in Dubai’s real-world conditions. The next step is to turn this into a scalable product that seamlessly integrates into our partners’ day-to-day operations.”

The fully electric robots independently plan routes, avoid obstacles and give way to pedestrians. Powered by Yango’s AI navigation and routing technologies, they have completed more than 1,500km of fully autonomous travel in earlier Dubai pilots, demonstrating consistent reliability in real-world residential environments.

The rollout builds on prior approval from Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), which authorised Yango Autonomy robots to operate on public walkways and within residential areas.

This reflects Dubai’s commitment to piloting and deploying advanced mobility technologies at scale.

The partnership supports national and emirate-level strategies to increase autonomous transport adoption, advance digital city infrastructure and reduce urban emissions.

It also highlights Dubai’s growing investment in AI-driven innovations that streamline daily life for residents and support business competitiveness.
