DMCC has launched the Luxury Innovation Centre at Almas Tower in partnership with ORIGINALLUXURY, marking a major step in transforming Dubai into a global hub for next-generation luxury innovation.
The initiative aims to raise standards in transparency, sustainability and digital integration across the global luxury sector.
Located on the 48th floor of Almas Tower, home to the Dubai Diamond Exchange, the Centre provides facilities for luxury brands, technology companies and supply chain partners to collaborate on solutions for responsible sourcing, traceability and digital transformation. It connects DMCC’s existing jewellery, gold, diamond and Web3 ecosystems to global demand for credible and sustainable luxury.
Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of DMCC, said: “With the global luxury market expected to surpass US$400 billion by 2030, and consumers increasingly scrutinising how products are sourced and authenticated, the DMCC Luxury Innovation Centre will drive new standards of creativity and credibility for the industry while supporting Dubai’s status as a global hub in the lux-tech space. The focus is clear: greater transparency, tighter provenance, credible sustainability claims and the integration of advanced digital tools.
“Dubai has already transformed the global trade of gold and diamonds, and this new initiative builds on that legacy, positioning us as the home of responsible luxury and giving the most ambitious brands and innovators from around the world the infrastructure they need to shape the future.”
The Centre will focus on accelerating innovation across the luxury value chain, including jewellery design, cutting and polishing, supply chain digitisation, tokenisation and sustainability-led product development. Members will have access to advanced tools such as blockchain-powered provenance systems, physical authentication technologies and flexible licensing solutions.
Membership is open globally and not limited to DMCC licence holders. The Centre will evolve based on market needs, technological progress and regulation, while offering workshops, networking and educational programmes to promote sustainable growth.
Margot Stuart, Co-founder of ORIGINALLUXURY, said: “Luxury remains rooted in desirability, but its future lies in responsibility. This Centre is designed to help brands navigate that transformation. Through our partnership with DMCC, we are bringing together technology, creativity and governance to enable a new generation of luxury that is responsible, intelligent and connected.”
Home to over 1,500 gold and precious metals firms and more than 1,300 diamond and gemstone companies, DMCC is also one of the region’s largest tech clusters. The new Luxury Innovation Centre will link these sectors, supporting the development of transparent and sustainable luxury products for a new generation of global consumers.
