Qatar Airways boosts winter capacity with more flights to Kuala Lumpur, Lagos, Shanghai and Singapore
Qatar Airways has expanded flight capacity to Kuala Lumpur, Lagos, Shanghai and Singapore for the winter 2025–2026 season as the airline responds to rising global travel demand. The increases form part of a broader winter schedule that adds additional frequencies to more than 15 major destinations, including Cape Town, Dublin, London, Phuket and Toronto. The Qatar carrier continues to strengthen connectivity through its Doha hub at Hamad International Airport. Failed logistics startup GetSwift’s cofounders, Bane Hunter and Joel Macdonald, have been banned from being company directors in Canada for life. The bans come four years after the pair moved to North America as their ASX-listed business disintegrated amid legal action and relisted in British Columbia. The BC Securities Commission (BCSC) last month placed permanent bans on Hunter and Macdonald from operating in the British Columbia (B.C.) investment market. DeFi Lending Skyrocket in Q3, Crushing CeFi: Galaxy Reports
Amidst incentives, stronger collateral, and rising prices, DeFi lending surged in Q3, capturing a record 55.7% market share during the quarter. DeFi lending reached a new record in the third quarter, according to a new report from Galaxy Digital’s research team, which found that the dollar-denominated value of outstanding loans on decentralized finance (DeFi) applications rose by $14.52 billion, or 54.84%, to $40.99 billion at the end of Q3.
