Strategy Makes Another Bitcoin Purchase as Unrealized Losses Mount
The company’s latest purchase raised some eyebrows due to the poor timing. Michael Saylor, the Bitcoin champion behind Strategy’s BTC accumulation strategy, announced minutes ago the latest acquisition made by the company, in which it spent $90 million to accumulate 1,142 units. Consequently, the firm’s total stash has grown to 714,644 BTC, acquired at an average price of $76,056 for a total of $54.35 billion. Crypto VC Explodes in Q4 2025: $8.5B Floods Later-Stage Startups
US-headquartered companies captured 55% of Q4 crypto VC capital. Crypto and blockchain venture capital witnessed a sharp rebound in Q4 2025, driven predominantly by large late-stage deals. Galaxy Digital’s report, authored by Alex Thorn, Head of Firmwide Research, found that venture capitalists deployed $8.5 billion across 425 deals in the quarter – an 84% increase in capital invested and a 2.6% rise in deal count compared to Q3 2025. Atlassian’s first investor leads $8.55 million Seed in workflows documentation startup Fluency
Melbourne startup Fluency has raised US$6m (A$8.55m) in a Seed round led by US VC Accel, Atlassian’s first external investor. The raise values the business at around $30m. The cash will help expand the engineering team and support international growth. Other investors include DST Global Partners (which, along with Accel, was an early Facebook backer), Mixture of Experts, Carya Venture Partners, Archangel Ventures, and NextGen Ventures.
