A tragic accident
Ali Magdy Omran Muhssein, 22, was set to attend his graduation ceremony on Thursday, February 5. But on Sunday, February 1, he lost his life in a motorcycle accident in Sharjah. Years of studying, late nights, and hard work had led to this milestone… a moment he sadly never got to experience.
A diploma accepted in his place
During the ceremony, Ali’s father had the emotional task of accepting his son’s diploma on his behalf. The moment was bittersweet, a mix of pride and heartbreak, showing how much Ali’s achievement meant to his family and community.

A gesture that speaks volumes
During Ajman’s University graduation ceremony, His Highness directed that all tuition and fees Ali had paid during his studies be fully refunded to his family. While money can never replace a lost life, the gesture sent a strong message: Ali’s journey mattered, and his dedication was recognized.

Honouring a life & a legacy
For Ali’s family, this act went beyond financial support. It was a sign of care and respect, showing that even in the face of tragedy, the community sees, honours, and remembers those who’ve worked hard. His story is a reminder of both the fragility of life and the power of compassion.
May his soul rest in peace.
