Consolidated Contractors Company (CCC), one of the largest construction companies in the world with a special focus on the Middle East, has signed a contract with Saudi Egyptian Developers (SED) to execute Central, its latest mixed-use development in New Cairo.

The total investment for the ambitious 160,000 sqm project is expected to exceed EGP12 billion (US$254 million).

Central is located at the intersection of North and South 90th Streets and Mohamed Naguib Axis and includes 10 buildings offering premium offices, commercial outlets, and leisure spaces.

Construction begins this month (November 2025) and is expected to be completed within four years. CCC will oversee the full scope of construction and finishing works, covering buildings, façades, landscaping, public areas, offices, and parking facilities.

Mohamed El-Taher, CEO of Saudi Egyptian Developers, said the Central project reflects the company’s commitment to creating world-class, integrated urban destinations that combine quality, sustainability, and modern design. He added that the partnership with CCC underscores the company’s confidence in one of the region’s most reputable and experienced contractors.

Last month, SED also signed an MoU to attract leading global retail brands to the project.

SED, founded in 1975, is a joint partnership between the Saudi and Egyptian governments. With a track record and objective to create communities that shape future landmarks, the company has delivered around 24,000 housing units and the group’s current portfolio has over 50 projects within Egypt, such Jayd New Cairo, Bleu Vert New Capital and Nile Towers Maadi.

Mohamed Tarek Kamel, Executive Director for Africa at CCC, said the collaboration aligns with CCC’s vision to deliver sustainable, cutting-edge developments, and that Central will contribute to shaping New Cairo’s evolving commercial and business landscape.

Founded in 1952 and headquartered in Athens, Greece, CCC has completed over 1,500 projects worth US$300 billion. It has recorded average sales of US$3 billion over the past 10 years (as per the company website) and has an average backlog of over $6.4 billion over the same time frame.
