Over 2,500 innovators & leaders gather at Dubai Silicon Oasis for the Doers Summit, Middle East edition
Dubai, UAE. The opening day of Doers Summit 2025 at Dubai Silicon Oasis marked a strong debut for the event in the Middle East. His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum inaugurated the Summit in the presence of senior UAE officials and international delegates. The first day brought together more than 2,500 participants and over 150 speakers from Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
Sessions focused on AI, fintech, climate tech, digital infrastructure and mobility. Officials highlighted the UAE’s progress in building a competitive environment for founders. Key national initiatives such as The Emirates, The Startup Capital of the World, Future 100 and Thabat were presented as pillars that support local and global entrepreneurs. The UAE now hosts over 1,500 venture backed startups and continues to rank first globally in the GEM Report.
Speakers from Cyprus and other regions noted Dubai’s position as a global center for technology and innovation. They emphasized the role of supportive policy, strong digital infrastructure and access to talent. The program included high level keynotes and panels that explored the shift toward sustainable profitability, deep tech, data infrastructure and cross border investment. Uri Levine, co founder of Waze, delivered a session focused on solving real problems through clear execution.
The high turnout and active engagement across sessions confirmed Dubai’s growing importance as a meeting point for founders, investors and technology leaders. The discussions pointed to stronger collaboration opportunities across multiple regions.

Expat Entrepreneurs in Dubai, a collaboration focused community-group for expat entrepreneurs and professionals, also took part in the Summit’s first day.
