Drydocks World has begun construction of its new head office complex in Dubai, marking a major milestone in its transformation as a global leader in marine and offshore services.

Scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2027, the 44,779-square-metre facility will be built on a 13,390-square-metre site adjacent to the existing shipyard.

It will accommodate nearly 700 employees, streamlining operations and improving accessibility for visitors and clients. With direct access from Jumeirah Beach Road, the new building will enhance connectivity while maintaining stringent security standards.

The project underscores the company’s commitment to innovation, collaboration, and sustainability, in alignment with parent company DP World’s goal to create world-class, future-ready workplaces.

His Excellency Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Group Chairman and CEO of DP World, said the project reflects the Group’s long-term vision: “Drydocks World’s new head office represents another important milestone in our transformation. Across DP World, we are investing in smart, sustainable infrastructure that empowers our people and strengthens Dubai’s position as a global hub for trade and innovation.”

Captain Rado Antolovic, PhD, CEO of Drydocks World, described the new headquarters as a “foundation for collaboration and innovation,” adding: “By consolidating our teams into one modern, sustainable facility, we are building a stronger base for long-term growth and operational excellence.”

Designed to achieve LEED Gold certification, the building will feature smart energy management systems, advanced safety and access technologies, and efficient air and ventilation systems. Employee well-being is central to the design, which includes open-plan offices, fitness and prayer facilities, dining areas, and multi-purpose halls for events and client gatherings.

A multi-level parking facility will provide around 500 spaces, including 50 for electric vehicles, supporting DP World’s net-zero carbon roadmap for 2050.

The new head office complements DP World’s upcoming global headquarters at Expo City Dubai, also due for completion in 2027.
